{"id":40917,"date":"2018-06-11T09:02:32","date_gmt":"2018-06-11T08:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/?p=40917"},"modified":"2019-04-26T12:40:11","modified_gmt":"2019-04-26T11:40:11","slug":"re-visit-champagne-boizel-avenue-de-champagne","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/re-visit-champagne-boizel-avenue-de-champagne\/","title":{"rendered":"A re-visit to Champagne Boizel on Avenue de Champagne"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Avenue de Champagne still ranks as one of my most favourite places in the world of <em>sparkling wines<\/em>\u00a0and so much so that each and every time I visit Epernay I simply must take a walk\u00a0or drive up and down this famous location to gaze in admiration at the Champagne houses and architecture it offers&#8230; It seems to both relax me and settle me down, especially if it has been a long journey in the car or by train to get there!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rUzr_JaYE4c\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>One of the larger property of the avenue is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boizel.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>Champagne Boizel<\/u><\/a> and a label that I am most familiar with and if I am honest, a location I have visited a fair few times for tastings over the years. Though for this write up I wish to follow on from my <a href=\"https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/visit-champagne-boizel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>visit last year<\/u><\/a> just prior to the multi-million pound upgrade works that have been carried out and now are almost complete and ready to put into action.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">As an example here are works in progress (June 2017) and what to expect now if you tour the winery in 2018:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-40918 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Champagne_Boizel_works_2017.jpg\" width=\"740\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Champagne_Boizel_works_2017.jpg 740w, https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Champagne_Boizel_works_2017-300x162.jpg 300w, https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Champagne_Boizel_works_2017-20x11.jpg 20w, https:\/\/glassofbubbly.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/Champagne_Boizel_works_2017-600x324.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 740px) 100vw, 740px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yONQKpDcPu4\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>I had booked in to take a tour of the new upgrades with\u00a06th generation Boizel family member, <em>Florent Roques Boizel<\/em>, I was keen to see what progress had been made and I was not disappointed with the place now looking even more of a photographers <em>dream location<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/jL8fpYxfRhY\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>It is certainly is now a must visit for anyone <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winalist.co\/listings\/champagne-boizel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>visiting the Avenue de Champagne<\/u><\/a> offering both an education and entertaining experience from seeing where the grape juice is stored to where the bottles are ageing away deep down in the cellars.
